GATE Admit Card: How to Download from GOAPS
The GATE admit card is released on GOAPS in early January, roughly 3–4 weeks before the February exam dates. You need it to enter the exam hall along with a valid photo ID. Download it as soon as it is available and check every detail carefully.
Download your GATE admit card
- Open GOAPS for the current cycle — Go to the GOAPS portal for your exam year (not a previous year's GOAPS link — GOAPS also moves with the organising institute). Log in with your credentials.
- Download the admit card PDF — Download and save the admit card. Print a clear copy on A4 paper. Keep the PDF on your phone as a backup.
- Check every printed detail — Verify your name (as it appears on your ID), enrollment ID, paper, exam session date and time, exam centre name and address, and the list of permitted items and reporting instructions.
- Prepare your exam-day kit — Keep the admit card and an original photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence, or other valid ID as specified in the current instructions) ready. Check the admit card for the authorised ID types.
